Care Guide

DO NOT store the fursuit in a crumpled state in a closet or in a bag.

Always carefully fold all the details of the fursuit, hang the jumpsuit on a hanger in a special case for clothes. It is advisable to have a mannequin or a special stand for the head.

Never store your fursuit near sources of high temperature, open flames, dangerous chemicals, pungent and specific odors, or dampness.

Keep in mind that after each wear of your suit, it must be dried. In particular, this applies to the head, since all the main moisture from breathing, as well as sweat, usually accumulates in the head.
It should not be dried on a radiator with a high temperature. The suit can be dried with a fan or a hair dryer (without hot air) or simply left to dry outdoors / in a ventilated area. To dry your head, you can also use a fan directed into the open mouth, or you can turn on the cooler for a while, or put it to dry quietly upside down, opening the hood and turning it inside out.

It is advisable to periodically disinfect your fursuit with an antibacterial spray, as well as the inside of the jumpsuit itself and the hind legs.
1. DO NOT store the mask for a long time in direct sunlight (on the window, window sill, on the veranda, on the back window of the car).

2. DO NOT wash your mask in washing machines. After washing in the machine, your mask may lose its appearance (All electronics will easily deteriorate from water).

3. It is NOT advisable to take the mask to the dry cleaners, as it is impossible to determine with complete certainty how chemical treatment will affect the materials from which your mask is made. If you still get it badly dirty (for example, put a stain on it), then you can remove the contamination with a soft cotton cloth soaked in a soapy solution of baby soap.

4. In everyday life, in order to maintain the normal appearance of your fursute head, it is enough to vacuum it about 1-2 times a month at low suction power with a special nozzle for furniture upholstery. At the same time, be careful with accessories.

5. Periodically remove dust from it with light movements of a soft brush.

6. To keep the inside of the mask clean and dry for much longer, and to make wearing even more comfortable and soft, I recommend wearing a balaclava (balaclava). Thanks to the fabric, it seals the wear, preventing the mask from slipping, and hair will not interfere with zipping and unbuttoning. All excess moisture will be absorbed into the fabric of the balaclava.

7. It is advisable not to store batteries in the battery pack for a long time without use. During drying and storage of the head, it is recommended to remove and store them separately, in order to avoid oxidation of the batteries and parts of the unit.
DO NOT use a hot hair dryer to dry the fursuit! The synthetic fibers of artificial fur can start melting from the hot air.
Head:

This is probably the most detailed part of the fursuit. For this purpose, one must be extremely careful with it. Since the head has many small parts, possible electronics and glue, it can simply be irretrievably damaged by improper washing.

It is necessary to wash the mask only manually at a water temperature of 30 °- 40 ° C. In no case should you soak the mask completely in water! It is enough that the muzzle and the front part of the fursuit’s head are above water.
Do not use bleach or stain removers! Use a gentle detergent, such as shampoo for washing delicate fabrics or wool. But it is best to use detergents from children’s series, as they are much safer for your friend’s health. For a wonderful smell and softness, you can also add laundry conditioner to the water.

1. Dissolve the detergent in warm water and whisk until soap bubbles form. Soak a sponge in soapy water (you can use a soft brush) and gently brush the fur on the muzzle, taking care that it does not absorb too much liquid. To wash off the dirt, rather than just smearing it on the surface, rinse the sponge as often as possible.

2. After rinsing the fur (collar and hood), squeeze it slightly, trying not to deform, straighten it.

3. Wipe every cleaned area to remove moisture. Use a microfiber cloth for this.: it perfectly absorbs moisture and dirt.

4. Dry the mask outdoors or put it in a warm, dry place (you can use a fan or other source without hot air). So that the water could safely drain from the fur, I just put the mask on a mannequin and put it in a basin.

5. After cleaning and drying, comb your friend’s hair with an animal brush.
Overall:

The most easily erasable part of the fursuit. If it does not have many small parts, then it is enough to wash it in a washing machine on a gentle mode, and you can also wash it manually with a mild detergent (not a solvent!) or with shampoo.

In no case should it be dried with hot air, so as not to damage the precious skin and artificial fibers. Any drying after washing should be carried out with a terry towel, carefully wrapping it, without sudden movements of the hands, then simply drying it with a fan, or letting it dry on its own in a ventilated place. Also, do not comb your fur when it is wet. After the fur has dried, it must be combed with a massage brush for long hair, or with a special sticker for animal hair.
Furts and furts:

The fastest getting dirty part of the fursuit. If your furts and furts do not contain complex parts, then you can try washing them manually with a lot of shampoo foam or in a machine (!) on a gentle mode without pressing and regular powder (you can use special capsules for washing). Liquid detergents for colored fabrics are also well suited for this purpose. I also want to draw your attention to the fact that all these details are also washed in cool water.
Grooming and combing.

Periodically it is necessary to comb your friend’s matted fur. You should not do this too often, basically it is necessary only when you need the thing to look neat, clean and tidy.
It is advisable to use a conventional massage comb with metal teeth so as not to electrify the fur (a special comb for animal hair). The comb must be clean. If the artificial fur is still electrified, then you can use a special antistatic spray.

It is best to clean the fur in the direction of the pile, as well as to scratch.

A fursuit should be worn with thermal underwear or other comfortable and thin clothing in order to keep it fresh and clean from the inside for a long time. Thermal underwear is also necessary for convenience and heat preservation, if you feel rather cool in a fursuit in winter weather.
